The Tale of Two Non-Bloggers

The title is probably most fitting for the two of us. We always look at ourselves and say we need to update our blog, but neither of us really want to take the time to do it. Blogging takes a lot of effort for us. Well I guess it's kind of like writing in a journal or diary and at least I'm horrible at doing that.

To update our lives won't take too much time and effort because not much goes on around here. Marni is taking a full load of classes between online and classroom studies. She's also been working at Sunshine Terrace and Terrace Grove (not many hours at Sunshine). She was actually working at Terrace Grove when it was struck by lightning but I'll let her explain the story (hint: if you bug her enough she should finally blog about it). As for myself because the basic non-existing teaching jobs that opened up in Cache Valley I am working at Macey's full-time in order to get insurance. It pays me well for the valley and I enjoy the people that I work with.

One fun thing that we did was over 4th of July weekend wast went camping in the Unitas with Marni's parents and step-brother and his girlfriend. Unfortunately we weren't able to get up there until late afternoon on the 4th because I had to work in the morning. For the most part we just relaxed, chatted, and rode the 4-wheelers.
Here's a picture of Marni and myself putting up our tent. It actually went rather smooth. The amazing thing was that the poles just attached to the tent instead of threading them through which can be annoying as anything. It was great to be able to use our new tent, mattress pad, and queen-size sleeping bag that we got at Christmas.
Here's a picture of us that night making smores and telling stories (which ironically none of them contained any ghosts). Thanks Kathy for the pictures. We took our camera but we really didn't take any pictures. Before we left we went on a nice 4-wheeler ride and found this gorgeous meadow but low and behold neither of us grabbed the camera. Yeah we are SMRT.

Also this summer we were able to spend some time with my sister Darcy as she was in Utah for my mother's kidney transplant recovery. We just had a grand old time. We also spent some time with my sister-in-law Shiloh and Kado (their dog was adorable) too bad David had to work. Anyway other than that nothing too exciting coming from our lives.

Queen sized sleeping bags are the best. I got one for one of my bridal showers back in the fall. Most fabulous!

well, if Marni was already at the U, I could have hooked you up with an interview at my school. However, keep your toe in teaching. Substitute teach, help coach . . . work with adult ed GED classes, whatever you can find to let them know you are committed to teaching. -Aunt Kelley
